Prescription spectacles
Discussion
Upgraded the bike at Xmas and finding that at 40-50kph downhill I need better wind protection than my normal spectacles provide.
Thinking about either

or

Anyone else gone down this route?
Any other suggestions?
Short term fix is a decent pair of safety glasses and normal specs but they steam up too easily.

This summer I finally treated myself to some proper prescription cycling glasses, and went with transition lenses. So much better and I quickly forgot the few hundred quid invested!
Sunwise frames as sold by my local opticians that are very adjustable and for well with my helmet.
I’d take your helmet with you when trying them on.

I'd love a proper pair of prescription cycling glasses but the inserts never go up to my prescription (-10.5 ish).
I have done the contact lenses+ oakleys thing in the past and it works well but I'd prefer the convenience of glasses and TBH I was never 100% comfortable with lenses. I make do with my normal specs with transitions lenses in. Did have one scary moment when I fell off my MTB and lost my glasses for about 5 mins (was alone, seemed like hours) so have to remember to use a sports band to stop them falling off.

I was in the same situation when i ended up with varifocal prescription glasses.
I went the distance contact lens route, wearing 2 week ones generally, but 1 day disposable if i'm off road or doing a tri.
My sunglasses have a small bifocal section and are spot on for looking at the garmin or the menu in the cafe
Then when i did fall and break them it was just another £25 from amazon - not devastated.
