Anyone got one?

https://www.hammerhead.io/products/hammerhead-karo...

Any good?

Looking to replace my ancient garmin. I'd like whatever I get to have good maps and pinch to zoom etc etc

Anything else I should look at getting?

Anything but the Karoo.

I paid for one as an early buyer, after the shipping dates got pushed back & back I gave up waiting and got a refund. Lacking in features originally proposed, massive unit and they seem to rely on sales to prop up the development budget. Suprised they've lasted this long.

Check DCRainmaker and see what he rates as the current go-to unit.

^^ as per above. Check out DC Rainmaker for the inside scoop on them - shocking company and management.

One of the Wahoo ones seem to be most people's favourites at the moment, certainly those who want anything-but-a-Garmin.

I bought a Giant Neostrack few months ago, mainly because it was half the price of a Garmin 520/Wahoo Elemnt, which it closely matches for features, but the battery lasts over 30 hours.

Was planning to get one early too, but decided against based on lack of features and got a Bolt... which I love.

Been looking at the Karoo again lately as it is a lovely looking bit of kit and has had some decent updates i believe...

For what it's worth I picked up a Garmin 530 earlier this month from Evans. I wanted the sensor bundle, as I've been through a number of cheap Chinese heart rate belts over the last couple of years, and they took 10% off instore. Minus again the £50 promotion Garmin themselves have going on I felt it was worth the additional £60ish over the Wahoo Bolt.

I have been very critical of garmin cycle computers in the past

But even I have to say that the 530 and 830 are a step up in quality and value for money from anything that has come before

It hasn't tempted me to get one yet, but it much more likely than it was for the 520 (plus) / 820
