So I had my heart set on a YT Capra, I wasn't sure whether to go Al or CF. I've got upto £3k to spend on my next bike.

YT are currently doing £750 off a Jeffsy 29 CF Pro so making it come in at £2799ish

After going to the Bike show up at the NEC this past weekend I've seen the Rose Bikes Pikes Peak and the Whyte GS-170, I was impressed with the look of the Whyte and the attention to detail, the guy I spoke to aswell really sold it as a very good all rounder.

The Rose Pikes Peak, what I really liked about this was how customiseable it is from the factory you can choose 4 different models and upgrade each component for extra money and it was a lovely looking bike in black/illuminous orange.

I'd still love a Capra in 29" spec as when I did YT's demo day it was a very very good bike but for less money I can get more bike in the other two.

I'm also awaiting to see what YT do with the Capra and the Jeffsy for their 2020 models. Then there's also the new Nukeproof Reactor punch

The bike will do mostly DH and bike parks.

I wouldn't expect a new frame for the Jeffsy, the 2019 model was brand new so it'll be just spec changes. Probably the same for the Capra too, that frame has been out since 2018. YT don't do regular frame changes, maybe every 3 years.

Whyte still have some 2018 AL s150s available for a decent price. It’s IHMO a better all-rounder than the g170.

Have you looked at Bird bikes? They do 160mm travel 27.5 and a 150mm travel 29er. Excellent bikes and the customer service is second to none.
