Evening,

Am feeling chuffed as completed my first 100 miler yesterday doing the New Forest 100. Nice ride in beautiful scenery. It wasn’t that hilly either and only 4600’ ele.

I started riding late spring last year and only form of exercise that i’ve kept doing for more than a month - I love it!

I did the ride in 6’04 (moving time) which i was pleased with. Had a mate with me which helped when the legs were burning.

In a scant history of sporting achievements, this is up there for me!

Not even too achey tonight, but I didnt go for a ride today 😀

Well done indeed, I think 100 miles is a long drive!

Nice work smile

It’s a big achievement and one you should rightly be proud of, well done 👍🏻

I remember the feeling when I did my first one. Trying to quantify cycling 100 miles in one go is quite challenging, and as said, driving it in the car seems enough of an effort sometimes!

Well done - it's a nice milestone!

6hrs is a good benchmark time, too.

As for 'whats next' - well that really depends on how it felt. You clearly got the bug for going further so you need to decide - longer distance, longer duration or faster?

Some ideas:
1) a 5hr 100
2) 200
3) 12hrs

Why not sign up for something like Revolve24 - you could do 6 / 12 / 24 solo, or make it a bit more fun and do it as a relay. That way you'll get distance / time / speed and get to hang out with your mates for the weekend at the same time!
