I hope they find the cyclist. I suspect they won’t. Easy to change the bike and clothing. Very difficult to identify him.

He had got off his bike so was actually a pedestrian when he head-butted the other pedestrian.

So not really news or worth discussing.

Sadly also fear they won't find him. Disgraceful behaviour and gives cyclists a bad name.

On a slightly similar note, did they ever find that guy who pushed the woman over nearly into the path of a bus on London Bridge?

This must surely be proof that all people who ride bicycles jump red light and are aggressive and violent, eh?

I cant take 'credit' - it was the first response after Jeremy Vine posted the video on Twitter.

That will tar all us decent cyclists with a stty brush now he's done that. I hope they find the tt, as that's what he is, he just happened to use a bike to get about and throw the book at him.

I'm not sure a book would do him much damage, his head is pretty robust.

I know that he was taken by surprise, but the pedestrian really made a meal of being headbutted and falling dramatically over.

At first I thought he was going to flatten the cyclist, who turns out must have some serious anger/violence issues.

To be fair, as daily commuter within central London, I've only ever seen cyclists jump a red light so blatantly.

Cars will sometimes go through an amber one or two seconds after turning red, which is bad, but I see far more cyclists just ride straight through an established red light

Yes, it's clearly a useful tactic even against people who are bigger than you. Combined with a well timed body shove it seems it can cause all sorts of damage.
