Thinking of converting the carbon Synapse to light gravel duties.

Partly for this

For clearance reasons circa 30-32mm.

I've been looking at Clements but is there a common 'the one' that everyone seems to highly rated?

If you were going bigger I'd suggest the Vitorria Terreno Mix, but for narrower I really rate the MXPs not tried the tubeless version yet but the older version have lasted well and provide great grip for CX in most conditions.

I’ve put Panaracer Gravel Kings 32s SKs (Small Knobs biggrin) on my GT Grade.

Running tubeless they coped well on the gravel tracks in Clocaenog and Llyn Brenig last weekend.

I like the 32mm gravelking SKs. When they're set up tubeless they are pretty fast-rolling on the road and great on hardpack gravel. They're not good in mud but are great for mixed terrain.
