Shimano mt500 wheels

Anyone have these mtb wheels, shimano MT 500, fairly budget. l think they are deore grade, so basic but should be OK. However have gone to set them up tubeless and the leak from 2 small holes drilled in each wheel. Are they ment to have these small holes, can't find any info online to suggest if tubeless compatable or not.
