Hi,

I'm having problems charging my Di2. The charge unit that came with the bike (1 year old) shows an orange charge light for a few seconds then goes out. I'm charging from a laptop.

Gears still working fine but am on solid red light.

It's an SM-BCR2 charger if that's any help?

Thanks

Mine didn't charge from my laptop but worked fine when plugged into the mains.

Try it from a plug and not a laptop maybe?

Worth also checking the connectors of everything in the system are fully mated (and check everything shows on etube) - although if the gears still shift, it would suggest that the cables and connectors are fine.

Hi, plugged it in using an iPhone adapter into the wall socket and all is good. I’d read that it was better to use a laptop hence went that way first. Maybe the USB weren’t powerful enough....

Yeah, laptop is good for e-tube tinkering. Nothing beats a dedicated charger for power delivery, and laptops especially aren't going to be high current.
