Di2 not working
Discussion
Hi,
Picked up a new (used) bike today with Ultegra di2 groupset. All working absolutely fine until I reversed the head stem to adjust reach (bars set with significant negative angle). Then nothing at all. No shifting, battery lights etc. No charge light either. Only thing I can think is that moving the bars has dislodged a wire. It has the bar end junction box. Could this shut the whole system
Down?
Any thoughts ‘cos I’m feeling pretty crappy right now!
Thanks
Adam

You might get away without removing the bar tape. See what you can get at before doing that - e.g roll back the lever hoods
with the bar end plug, can you get it out without removing the bar tape - on some installs I have seen it does look possible
also have a look at the battery end of things - unlikely given you were working on the bars end, but worth a look

A lead had pulled out of the battery just enough to kill everything. The battery is in the downtime rather than seat post so thing resting the bars on the front wheel was enough to dislodge it. Thank F for that! Was having massive “what have I bought” panic
Cheers everyone. Pays to keep a cool head...and neck a large gin and tonic!
