I've passed on my Halfords MTB to the GF to ride, but I am trying to find options for some road or Hybrid tyres.

The wheels are 29" and I am really struggling to find (or understand?) the way forward with these.
I've asked Halfords, looked at Decathlon where I bought my B'Twin Hybrid, I've browsed Cycle Republic and Amazon, but nothing obvious at a reasonable price for a pair stands out..

700c 28" and 29er are all the same circumference, so any tyre with 622 on it will fit. anything with 29 on it seems to be double the price so i feel your pain.

As above. 700c is usually the cheapest, eBay search 700c tyres and the thickness you want, 28-38 is usually a good start.

I run both those sizes, smallest is quickest...

35mm is about the right size. There are plenty on Wiggle in the £20-30 price point.

Mines got 38’s on it, think I paid just under 20 each from Tredz. They’re classed as Cycloscross tyres but they’re what came on my hybrid.
