MTB places and people in leicestershire

Dear PH,

I have recently moved to west Leicestershire and am in need of new new people to go bike riding
with.

My background is the more extreme side of MTB (DH racing primarily), but as I only have a hardtail and have been pretty much dormant for the last few years I am happy to do anything really as I just want to get get out and about again.

Is there Anyone around these parts who is looking for an addition to their riding group?

Whereabouts are you? In any case if you are west of the M1 then cannock chase is the closest place that's worth riding. I'm there quite often and like to do a lap of the monkey enduro style I.e. slow up and 100% down with a visit to the DH runs at stile cop.

Yeah Cannock is the one I've heard most about, it's about an hour from me I think.

My main problem is no groups to ride with, I'm not really one for riding on my own
