I've been running Eagle on my Winter Ti hardtail trail bike since October. Its a mixture of mainly GX but with a XO1 crank. Its been flawless other than routinely needing a tweak in adjustment and normal cleaning etc.

However now its summer I've not used it as much and the last 2 rides there has been a issue where somewhere around mid cassette i lose a click. What i mean is i click the shifter and nothing happens at the mech end. This only happens whilst going down the cassette and means that the smallest cog doesn't happen.

If i release the tension on the cable then it moves down as it should onto the smallest cog. However if i set the gears from this point it wont go onto the largest cog.

Limit screws both set correctly, B screw set correctly, Chain length same as before and obviously doesn't need allowance for suspension travel.

Im thinking maybe a bent mech hanger or mech itself? It worked before and mech doesnt show any major damage but im out of ideas.

any input appreciated?

It could just be that the gear cable needs replacing. It could certainly cause the issues you describe.

Bent hanger also possible, your LBS should have the tool required to check

Had similar on my Shimano DR

Replacing cable made no difference until I wondered if I'd pulled the cable too tight when installing it.

So I reattached the cable after giving a full turn on the handlebar adjuster (so I could both raise and lower the tension)

Worked fine after that

Quick update. It was slightly bent hanger. This eagle stuff is super fussy it seems

It is also worth noting that SRAM cables are thinner than Shimano (SRAM are 1.1mm Shiman are 1.2mm) - a local LBS used Shimano cables on my setup and it caused no end of hassle (they even claimed that the problems were due to a worn out derraileur and tried to sell em a new one).

They actually covered this on the MTB podcast a week ago, seems that mechanical 12 speed eagle is super fussy and often needs tweaking, even mid-ride.

it will be I'm afraid, the more ratios and wider range you cram into the width afforded to a cassette means reliability, durability and ease of maintenance will only decrease

My man maths is hinting that I need to switch to AXS to avoid these hassles smile
