My kids are loving Downhill and MTB biking so I built them a 20" full suspension MTB using the frame from a cheap Carrera Sol bike and all new components. The only problem is I need a better rear suspension, the current spring one is too strong so not much travel for kids which don't weight much (fine when I sit on it). The eye to eye measurement is 100mm so it is pretty small. Speaking to someone at Bike Park Wales on the weekend they said about getting a lower spring lbs load, but I can't seem to find one (or there is KS A5-RE air but with only 8mm travel it seems a bit pointless?)

Here is what the bike looks like currently (recently changed to Hydraulic brakes as the cable ones where rubbish) and build blog at https://MTBBuild.com:

Would love to buy them a proper bike like that but can't justify the price (and I would need 2 as twins). This project has cost me < £300 per bike.

Not sure wat size you need but what about industrial spring suppliers?

such as

Might need some maths to work out springs rates etc.
