What cycling camera is everyone using ??

One of the lads i go out with has a cycliq fly 6 and has nothing but trouble with it on his 3rd replacement.

He went out this Sunday and again couldn't get it working unfortunately whilst riding (single file just two of them him at the back very quiet country road) a car drove into the back of him and didn't stop. Good news he was totally fine except for a tyre burn on his leg bad news is the impact snapped his Pinerallo F8 frame and totalled his rear Zip wheel he didn't even come off.

To say he is *issed off with the camera is an understatement, they couldn't get the number of the car but are checking local CCTV.

Over to you guys

cheers

There's been a lot of discussion about that within our club over the last few weeks. A few people swearing by Cycliq.

One of the guys ordered the new ones form CRC and out of the box the rear wouldn't even power up. Tried combinations of cables and chargers to no avail. He shared the transcripts of his conversation with cycliq about it and to say they were useless would be an understatement. The conversaion basically involved repetition of
"try updating the firmware"
"it won't power on"
"ok. try updating the firmware"
ad nauseum.

They have finally agreed to send a replacement.

I want to get a front and rear - at the moment I'm thinking a couple of used GoPro session cameras might be the best option (despite my general dislike of GoPro)

I bought a Drift Ghost HD a few years ago to use as a helmet camera and its been very good.

Its a little on the large and heavy side, but there is now a smaller, lighter, and cheaper version called the Ghost X - here. The rotating lens feature is useful as it allows you to mount it at any angle.
