Ive been using the pro and trainer bikes in the gym for a while and decided to buy an Atom for home... has anybody gone over to an Atom?

Ive had it a couple of weeks and am not 100% convinced... My main issue is the PES (that's pedalling efficiency score for anyone who hasnt tried one - effectively it's a measure of the pedalling efficiency and power output). I've gone from floating around 70 (75 being 'optimum' according to wattbike) to low 50's on the Atom, with the shape of the graphic notably more spiky and lumpy - looking like a virus more than the ideal 'peanut'. While it sounds wky, I find concentrating on the 'score' on harder climbs and efforts to be really beneficial. I'm a bit worried something somewhere is 'off' with the bike... of course, it could be me as wattbike suggest is the problem - seems odd I can get on another bike and get a totally different readout.

I've got to decide if to keep it or send it back soon, so if anybody has used an Atom I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks and sorry for the horribly specific post!

I've got one. However I don't have any experience of the alternatives..I just wanted something easy to jump on when the weather is rubbish
I haven't took notice of PES so just had a look at my last rides. Looks to be at about 50. Not really sure what that means lol. I'm more watts/distance/time etc
Must say I think it's hard compared to out on the bike but I'm happy with it as an item.

So how does one increase pedalling efficiency anyway?

just look at the watts, the rest is pointless anyway
