Its new bike time bounce and unlike my previous ones, I'm buying a complete bike this time, my problem is I can't decide on which one!! yeah, I know first world problems.....

My choices so far are Scott Addict Se Disc and Canyon Endurace CF SL disc 8.0, both are di 2 equipped (the reason for buying a factory bike)

Does anyone have experiance of either? I've test ridden the Scott, and it was lovely, need a proper fit but that can be done with ease.

My curve ball option, is a Quirk frame and build it up to the same spec as the 2 montioned above.

Ride all options back to back and then see which felt nicer/you preferred and then buy that one.

That Canyon looks lovely - of your choices that's where my money would go

Not that easy for the canyon, they’re direct sales only. The wait times at the bike show last month for a test ride when I got there were longer than the show was open that day. The one person I know has one, is a size smaller.

In the blue, it’s lovely! Not Shute I could ever have an all black bike.

I’ve got an Endurace CF SL 9.0 with mechanical Ultegra.

Bought new just under 2 year ago.

The Canyon website has a size guide, where you input key body measurements to get the frame size required.

My Medium came with a 110mm stem. I use a spreadsheet to match the key contact points between my bikes. This indicated the stem was c10mm too long.

Canyon do a stem swap service, you buy an additional stem to try and then return the one you don’t want for a refund.

Dealing with Canyon was straightforward and they give regular updates once it’s in build.

The bike is great, very comfy even on the rough roads around N Wales. A lot of this is down to the seatpost, which is designed as a wishbone to soak the road buzz up.

I’ve done a number of 80-100 mile rides on it and I’ve found it comfy even after 9 hrs.

Let me know if you need anything further.....

I always find it's a bit like with cars - where you start with hundreds of options then by the time you've wittled it down only a couple will actually fit the bill.

If you've gotten to a point where you're down to two bikes that cost the same, weigh the same, have the same kit and ride in a similar way - which do you WANT.

I was all set to buy a Rose with disc / di2 because I wanted a bike with disc / di2 for that sort of money - but it just left me cold. Then I spotted the Bianchi XR3 came with the same spec for not a great deal more (I love a Bianchi) - and so that was the obvious choice.

Then I realised how every time I thought about the XR3 I'd wish it was an XR4. I don't want to spend 3.5k on something I wish was something else. So I bought the XR4 and I couldn't be happier. It cost nearly double what the Rose I was looking at cost. Whoops.

If you are near Letchworth, you could do worse than go and have a word with Niall at poshvelo.

He usually has enough stock that you could try several, including some that are not quite run of the mill

Might help you on the decision making

I suppose it depends on a few things, when do you want it, and whether off shelf carbon, or custom steel? To be fair, any will be a great bike. I'm assuming the latter will come with a longer lead time, although you'll end up with no compromises, and something no one else has.

Is that because of a new SRAM Red eTap on the way? Looks like great value.
