I like to take a week in January and a week in March to go mountain biking (Enduro or DH) in the sun. So far I’ve been to Fuengirola with Sierra MTB twice in March, been to Gran Canaria with DH Guide Canarias twice in January, been to Mallorca with Mallorca MTB (MMB) once in March and then had a day with Freeride Madeira in September (think weather may not be up to much in Jan or March).

Any suggestions of other companies to look up to ride in the winter sun?
Roost seem to use the same trails as Sierra MTB so ruling them out.

I've riden quite a bit of XC with them over the years, but I know they have some pretty decent looking uplifted downhill trails that they have built up in the mountains. Weather could be OK in January but by March it should be decently warm.

Sierra is fun the villas are basic but big and great for groups, free unlimited beer post ride is amazing. Jon Gunn is a Guide there at the minute and good, not sure about the others if there are any. Alan has stepped back now and Alexis is running the show - but he seems like he doesn’t want to..

Trails are great full telecom was my favourite locally. In Malaga bike park there is an amazing trail that runs along a steam bank, endless fun.

I will look at Portugal, seen a website weride.pt and that looks a potential.

Thanks for the heads up about Sierra.

If you like the look of Mountain Adventure speak to Jim the owner and tell him what sort of riding you are looking for and he will probably set up a decent schedule.

That looks great! Ideal for me as I can only usually sneak a day or two riding into a family holiday.
