Front tyre choice

I run a Santa Cruz Bronson with a set of Fox 34s and my front tyre too thin for the downhills.

Does anyone know the widest tyre I could go for, and any suggestions on tyre type too would be appreciated?

What tyre/rim do you have now?

I’ve never needed more than 2.4/5 on Flow EX rims and Pikes although you’ll probably want to apply copter tape to the legs as it can rub a bit when ridden hard even though there’s plenty of clearance.
