Are phone cases worth it or should I stick with a plastic bag?

I just stick it in the Jersey. It’s waterproof and has a screen protector, so I don’t require anything else.

My OnePlus 5T is in a tough Spigen case and the phone goes in a small clear freezer bag. I've never used anything else 😁

Rapha essentials case fits my wallet, phone and keys, in a picket shaped and sized water resistant shape - can't say fairer than that.

Having landed on a hip pocket before - I scuffed / shredded the pocket and case outer, but what was inside remained fine. It would have trashed my phone / wallet, and the keys would have ruptured my spleen laugh - I'd never ride with them loose in my pocket.

This. Can't imagine anything worse than pulling out one of those grim little rapha cases at the coffee stop personally.

One of these for my phone, a £10 note, and my coffee shop loyalty card. Top folded over and I've never had water in it yet.

I dont use it on the handlebar, just in the pocket

Has lasted amazingly well, I also have a plastic case on the phone, both of these paid off on Saturday when I crashed and phone was OK

Ironically I find a case more useful in the summer than winter as sweat can give you a wet phone! Also ive been caught in some horrendous downpours and the case has been 100% watertight

I bought a resealable bag from planetx for a quid for my tools, that would be a decent phone case as well

I got one of these in July 2015 and it's still going strong. Fits my phone, cash+card, extra hayfever pills in the summer and keys

Another vote for the Velopac ridepack here. I've got the Stolen Goat version. Weatherproof, durable quality, plus useful dividers and a zipped pocket.
