TT Start Hold Advice
Discussion
I've marshaled at a fair few of our club events and am down to Marshall at a decent size club TT soon, Ive just been tasked with holding riders @ the start....something ive never really done before.
Im happy to do it , but any pointers, tips or preferences? On the hill climbs Ive entered ive been held side on, but ive seen lots held from behind at the start of TTs ?
Any advice appreciated

I prefer the side on approach and aim for front of frame and the seatpost, this a) keeps you as far away from traffic as possible and b) enables you to look back and give the rider advise if anything is due to pass them as they start or just after. It means you're having to put a bit more effort in and will have to go down on your knee for quite a while but I prefer it over the standing behind option.
