If you are looking for cheap carbon wheels then I can recommend wheels from Farsport - I bought a set of 50mm carbon clinchers from them last year.

I doubt there is any difference between the "unbranded" Chinese wheels that I have and something like the Zuus wheels. One of the reasons that I chose to buy from Farsports is that they don't put any graphics on the rims.

I've done about 2,000 miles on mine since I bought them and they still roll fine. I went with DT Swiss 350 hubs which meant I paid a little more than the standard wheels. I think I paid about $660 for mine. I originally planned to use them as summer wheels only, but even being used in the rain there isn't really any visible degradation of the rims yet so I now figure that they are likely to be due to be replaced before the rims are significantly worn enough for it to become an issue. At the price I paid, whilst not cheap, to me I'm not too bothered about them lasting for a long time - I think that would stop my enjoying more expensive wheels

Perhaps not that helpful if you are particularly keen on the wheels you have found, but when I bought mine I did find it difficult to find genuine reviews online for "Chinese" imported wheels so I'm trying to do my bit to help others out that are looking for something similar.

I purchased a set of Zuus 50mm clinchers in the summer just before riding my first 100 mile sportive. They rode fine, the braking was a bit squeaky but otherwise okay. When I got back and cleaned the bike down I noticed a slight hazing in the finish of the rims, near the bridge of the rim between the spokes where it looked like the carbon casting process had left marks on the rim.

I contacted them to ask what this might be, it wasn't easy to do this as they are online only. They agreed it was a manufacturing fault and asked me to send them back which I did. The next week I received my first replacement set - an obviously second hand set of wheels that had been sent to me in error.

After chasing them again, getting a brand new set of replacement rims was a lengthy process eventually taking 3 months as they waited for parts to arrive - apparently they build the rims up themselves. During this time their contact was poor and I eventually got a call from the MD who agreed this whole thing had been a bit of a mess.

Eventually my replacement rims arrived and had a similar cosmetic issue on the bridge of the rim - by this time I had lost interest and so just rode the wheels as they are. I've since done around 500 miles on them in all weathers and they have been fine, although the rear now needs some slight truing.

So... they ride fine and do represent good value for money - but be prepared to suffer the poor communication and lack of customer service if something is wrong! Hope this helps!

Had a set. They were crap. Sent them back. Received a full refund with no quibbles.

So on the positive side, you get a good level of customer service, but on the negative side, you get similarly patchy quality control to something like Farsports - because they're the same wheels with different stickers. If you get a good set, they'll be some decent wheels, but the same applies to the ones you can get for half the price off eBay.

Give mark a call, http://www.spokesmanwheels.co.uk he uses Carbonal rims you can choose the same hub choices as the normal Chinese wheels but he is based in the UK. His prices seem better value than Malcolm at thecycleclinic.

Obviously there are other bespoke wheel builders in the U.K. Offering similar stuff.

I have spoken to Judith I think who works here, again very sensible although never bought from her. https://www.stayercycles.com/wheels.html
