I am considering an indoor trainer and looking at the Wattbike Atom. Why? Currently use a TACX Vortex but my wife has decided that she quite likes using it as well. In short i am getting fed up with switching the bikes over, re calibrating etc. The question i am asking is whether it's worth it for the simplicity and also what the improvement in training there will be. Also are there any other options with a similar benefit that would cost less. thoughts?

I'm going to get the obvious one out of the way - buy a second trainer for your wife? Or do space constraints prohibit this?

I did think the same thing and also use it as an opportunity to upgrade my trainer! It's still an option but wanted others thoughts on the dedicated trainer option as space is a constraint.

I've an Atom and use it with Fulgaz had it since October just gone, I've seen a 20% increase in Wattage in that time comparing a ride I did just after I got it and last week, works with Apple TV just turn on pick a ride and go.

I am not a road rider but mountain bike but have felt the difference when I've been outside in the real world smile

you could hire one for a few months to see how you get on with it?!
