Hi all,

Been looking to get into leisure cycling for 6 months or so. Want to get out with the family and do a little bit of commuting. Keen runner already.

Did a lot of reading up and settled on a Specialized Sirrus Disc brake, but baulked slightly at the £550 asking price as I am only dipping my toe in and worried about it getting nicked.

Recently decided that I need to get in at the bottom end, and second hand would get much more bang for buck and could than opt for a more expensive bike if I wanted to go that way later. Frankly I don't have the time to get out on it all that often and spare cash is tight, so...

Found a localish Pinnacle Lithium 2 second hand (2018) that looks to be in good nick, and the owner wants £100 which seems good as Evans sell them for £300 discounted from £375.

Only concern is that is is an "L" (5'10-6'1). I reckon I am somewhere between 6'1 and 6'2 so this would be right on the limit and given the choice would have gone for an XL. Don't really have time to get into an Evans Cycles to see which suits best as I suspect the bike will be gone, so do I take a punt and take the risk? I also understand that the bar height doesn't adjust which is a concern if it is too small...

Thoughts?

For that money, i'd take a punt on it, if it doesn't work out you can sell it on for similar money!

If it’s a L and 29er it’ll be plenty big enough and for £100 a no brainer.
