Didn't feel bothered about riding today but did.

Went up a fairly steep climb and I was out of the saddle the whole way and my lower quads burnt like crazy. Really suffered.

Post ride now I feel like I've hit the deck.

Is it just a combo of things?

I've noticed recently that my legs aren't strong at all.

I'm not fluey. Lots of coughing at work but I'm 100% compared

Reply edited. After admin sneakily moving this thread from it's original posting in the "EV and Alternative Fuels pages", the humour does not quite fit biglaugh

Are you taking Statins? If so then weakening of the legs and/or aching can be one of the side effects.

I was prescribed them after my heart attack 4 years ago, within a couple of weeks I could barely stand, they were changed to a different make and all was well for about 6 months then my legs started to ache so I have been off them since then.

Since then my father came off his as his legs were getting weak , same for my father in law (both in their 90s)

In fact pretty much everyone I have spoken to that take Statins has admitted to some level of leg pain/weakness.

Have you been over doing training?

How does running up stairs feel?

Take a couple or three days off and see how it feels

"Lots of coughing at work" tells me something IS wrong with you in spite of what you think.
