I’m on a short ( ish ) ride today, and ( not that surprisingly given the conditions) I’ve got my first P* of the year. That’ll teach me not to use my puncture proof tyre shod bike

Can’t get on with those tyres. Two punctures for me today, like you cut the ride short early.

Luckily I had a couple of spare tubes and some gas on me, so I soon got going again. I was at a rememberance event, and as I was cocking about with tyres and tubes, a chap in Royal Marine gear and an impressive rack of gongs ( I think a couple of them were Falklands and distinguished service from memory) asked me if I wanted to make use of his van to get me home if I needed it. I didn’t, but I thought it was jolly decent of him to offer.

Got my first puncture in 6+ months yesterday on the full 57km Tommy's Ride.

6km from the end, found out my spare tube had a bent valve. In my frustration I bent the rear derailleur so only had 2 working gears for the last 6km.
