Bike tool kit and pack
Discussion
Plus one for the tool bottle, then use a small underseat pouch for an inner tube, that shouldn't interfere with your rear light if you have one on your seatpost. CO2 inflators are useful but I would also carry a pump as if you have to patch a tube you often need to inflate it a bit to find the puncture and that is easy with a pump. Plus, if the weather is cold and damp CO2 inflators can cause ice buildup in the valve that jams it and all the CO2 comes back out!!!!
Another vote for a tool bottle. Mine contains:
Mini pump
Spare tube
Tyre levers
Multi tool
Self adhesive patches (Lezyne)
Spare chain link
Valve core spanner
Universal mech hanger (your mate's snapped hanger will ruin your ride too!)
Cable ties
Latex gloves
Emergency lights
...and yes, I've used all of those things at some point!
