When sitting in front of tv of an evening, I usually have my iPad in my hands and aimlessly browse cycling store sites like CRC, Evans, Planet X, Condor Cycles, Ribble and Prendas looking for everything from my potential next bike to my nexr long sleeved jersey.

What are your favourites? I’m looking for some new inspiration.

Personally I find the TCR Facebook page way more interesting than any shopping sites smilehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/Transcontinental.e... Serious cyclists doing serious routes. Something I'll never be able to aspire to now (300km is my max distance) but a guy can dream, can't he! And the TCR site pointed me to the one saddle that saved my butt smile

Here in Europe 😄 we have a big choice and still use Wiggle and other UK suppliers, postage is quick and not expensive.
Lots of Euro sites will ship to UK and often have good offers with sales at various times.
No particular order :-
Ekoi.fr. Good quality apparel
Probikeshop.fr. Sort of CRC
Deporvillage.fr. Spanish based
All tricks.fr. Similar to CRC
SergeDoutoron independent but good turnover good range of own brand bikes bit like Ribble
Try these then we can look at the German sites and even find some Italian ones.

Sigma Sports worth a look, I just ordered a cassette and some bar tape and it worked out cheaper than Wiggle

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I’m already enjoying the first few I’ve looked at like Spin Shed and Ekoi.

If you can do 300km then I promise you you're capable of finishing the TCR.

Thanks Gruffy - that's kind of you. To be honest, it was reading on PH of your exploits on TCR4 that sparked my imagination for endurance stuff. Recently back from 500 miles in West Scotland. A small group, entirely self-supported, but staying in hostels so no sleeping rough (and who would want to in 50mph winds!). I felt I could have done more days. Write-up is almost complete - honest. As I said to one of our group "If I can't do speed, I'll do far." And she replied that's exactly the sentiment of a lady in our cycle club who's become an obsessive marathon runner at the age of 50+. Not content with the 7-7-7 (and N Pole) she's been knocking off a marathon on an island in each of the 7 seas. Not built for running, but has tremendous grit.

For my part, I need to get my second knee operated on this winter, then maybe look to a 400km Audax next year.

Without realising it, that was my motivation too. Starting at the age I did and off the back of lots of knee surgery, I didn't think it would be possible to be that fast but I still have a strong competitive urge, so I relied on going longer.
