I may have to ride up to London on Friday, I have to get up to Old Street, and I usually use Clerkenwell Road, from the CS6 end. The last time I was up that way, the road was bksed with roadworks ( and closed ). Does anyone know if they’ve finished yet?

The roadworks are still going (as of last Friday), but 2 narrowed lanes open right outside Brewdog. I see plenty of bikes through there, but it looks a bit tight with the buses going West - I've seen a few run into the kerb whilst I've sat enjoying my pint.

Depending in where you're coming from, you can avoid Clerkenwell and Old St. by doing this sort of route:

It's all cycle lanes and back roads - they're digging some kind of hole in the road up by Margery St. but you can get around it easily.

Thanks, that’s interesting. As far as the London bit is concerned, The plan is that I’m coming in from RP, along upper Richmond road, up to Barnes and Putney, up towards Parsons Green then up the Kings Road, past Buck House, down onto the Embankment CS, then left at Blackfriars bridge, up CS6 until Clerkenwell Road. I’ve got a couple of things to do around that area ( Clerkenwell Road and Old Street, in particular).
