Morning All

I ride a 2014 model Supersix Evo Sram red edition (11 speed). Over the course of the winter I'm thinking of overhauling the chainset, new chain, cassette and crankset/chainrings. It currently has an FSA Hollowgram Si fitted. Im thinking of changing this to a SRAM red model.

I've been offered a crankset with chainrings that seems to be from the previous generation as it says its 10 speed. Vendor assures me it will work with the 11 speed model that I have. Whats the thinking here?

I'm also tempted by FSA SLK with the carbon fibre crank arms?? Can anyone recommend these??

As a general question is the work worth it?? It has BB30 bearings and has about 10,000km done in its four years and there's a clicking coming from the crank when I stand up on the pedals so I'm thinking the crank bearing may need replacing. Am I using a sledge to crack a nut with all this other 'replacement work'.

Thanks so much in advance.

Bearings can be had for £20 and replacement is 15 mins

Ceramic speed bearings could consume a fair bit of upgrade budget

10sp chainset will work with 11sp usually

I have the fsa kforce light chainset. It is a nice thing. Carbon, shiny, light. A better chainset than my legs warrant.
