Has anyone been to his shows? There’s a tour about The Tour starting in September and I fancy going to see it as I find him entertaining in an irreverent way.

Yep, went to see him in Stafford on his last tour. Really enjoyable night, very funny in places, some great stories and tales. Obviously did his research as he asked if anyone was from the local cycling club and when a number of guys said yes, had a bit of good humoured banter and piss taking with them.

Mrs Harpoon and my Mum came along as well. They will watch cycling on the TV but neither ride, they both said they enjoyed it as well.

Went iirc late 2016 to see him at Clapham Junction.

Laboured, aimless (just flitted all over the place) Not as funny as he thinks he is. Had a rant that people didn't believe in Froome because he was squeeky clean and never gamed the system (that aged well! laugh ) Gave the obligatory "knowing wink" when he mentioned an "anonymous" Texan rolleyes Little "oh-so-humorous" video asides from Millar and Boardman. Played on that angle that he's a bumbling fool due to the yellow jumper thing form donkeys ago.

The 2 things that stuck in mind was where he got a member of the audience up on stage and they raced Boardman at changing an inner tube. (Boardman was seemingly in his back garden) And that he appeared to have cycled a great deal of the tour between venues.

I wouldn't go again if he was doing it in my front room!

Went last year in Norwich to see him, a good nights entertainment for little money, would go again this year but can't make any of the dates.

I don't dislike Ned Boulting, but he can't keep quiet for more than a couple of milliseconds. He's like a malfunctioning talking machine that's stuck in the 'on' position when he is commentating. I have visions of a frantic David MIllar desperately trying to turn it off. It's really quite annoying after a while. I was curious as to what his one man show night be like.

Having said all that, I'd rather listen to Ned than Carlton Kirby any day of the week. How Sean Kelly puts up with him is a total mystery to me.

Thanks for the feedback. I can’t quite decide whether or not I’d like it but I doubt whether his shows sell out way in advance anyway.
