Sending a bike to Budapest...

Morning all,

I need to get one of my bikes out here to Budapest ASAP.

Can anyone suggest a decent company to use? My experience with the Hungarian postal system has been less than impressive so far, so want something reliable.

As always, any help & advice much appreciated.

I used this group to send mine to Indonesia which I'm sure has a much worse postal service.
They went through DHL, had some tax issues on arrival but it arrived on time and undamaged.

Hello Johnny - Did you use sendbike? I'm looking at them now to bring a bike back from Argentina. I'm put off by a few negative reviews - and not sure how much to trust the good reviews on Trustpilot.

In the end i boxed it up and took as luggage on the plane. Didn't find anything i really fancied using.

There's a company called Bike Flights that I've seen recommended a few times. I've never used them so don't have any first hand experience and normally get hold of an empty bike box and take my bike with me as checked luggage.
