Hi All,

I have noticed on Aliexpress how the Chinese/Taiwanese have taken to 'reproducing' the cycling jerseys of the current and past teams. Has anyone purchased any of them? If so what is the quality like relative to the price (which is much lower than the normal clothing) and quality of the 'legit' clothing.

Thanks alot and have a great day

As long as you don't expect them to be Castelli quality etc then they are fine.

Sometimes the print can be a little dodgy in size or shape, but from a distance they look alright.

Basically, you get what you pay for.

I've got a few I commute in, they're fine and fun to wear if not super detailed in their finish. Despite coming from different sellers, they all seem to come with the same tags on them.

not retro pro kit, but I have these too.

The only thing to watch out for, my cinzano one is only printed on the front, plain black on the back. I should have been suspicious of there being no photos of the back.

I usually buy Castelli or Santini cycle gear. I know there sizing well and buy accordingly. However, I did buy a cheap replica Castelli jersey on ebay once.

In truth for the price they are OK, it's the sizing that is a bit tricky. Quality wise they are not too bad and one must remember they are perhaps at least 1/5 of the price of a genuine Castelli etc jersey.

See pictures below:

Side by side

Note the gripper on the genuine jersey, it has Castelli written on it.

Note the gripper on the ebay special. Still works fine mind.

Stitching on the ebay special [replica]

I think most of the replica jersey's come from the same factory and are sold through a number of different sellers. Prices also vary from seller to seller.

When I first started cycling 5 years ago, I bought a cheap pair of baggy cycling shorts from ebay, mainly for commuting in. I'm still using them, and the fabric and stitching is still in great shape. The padded bit in the liner got a bit twisted around the middle of last year, so I just took it out (not really needed for my short commute anyway), but otherwise they've lasted exceptionally well given how much use they've had (2-3 days per week in rotation with another pair). Comfy too.

These were "Santic" brand, which is available on Aliexpress. I'm thinking of buying a pair of lycra shorts off them...

I have bought various kit, the most recent from BXIO via Aliexpress. Despite being asian sizes they make decent size kit for a FB like me & it is sensibly priced. As I haven't been cycling very long it has two major advantages, Firstly it fits, the mainstream stuff is mainly skinny whippet sizes excluding FLAB. Secondly if I fall off & destroy it, I can bin it without tears as I only have £30 or so in it.
This is one. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/BXIO-Winter-Therma...

I can't believe this debate is still on everywhere. Where do you think all the Italian, English, Germany and Team Sky merchandise is manufactured. I've been to Jian Xiang myself and seen it being manufactured. Its the official A Class stuff, then there is a B & a C class stuff that is sold for cheaper, its all very good if you ask me.

Aliexpress has really improved both product and service quality i think. After ordering shirts, jerseys, and t-shirts from them for over 3 years, I finally started my own dropshipping store. People actually love my stuff and I ship from a number of distributors. My last 5 sales had a 5-Star rating for both product and delivery. I have used cycling products from InBIKE, MILOTO, Racmmer, WOSAWE, and DONEN they've all got some cruel jerseys, some are really cool rip-offs that people even asked me where I got them.

DONT WORRY MODS IM NOT HERE TO SELL STUFF, I just can't take this question anymore.
