Any good climbing cycle routes near Spa?

Chaps, I have a trackday later in the month at SPA and I fancy a bit of a cycling challenge on the way...does anybody know of a route within about 100 miles detour en route to the track which has lots of hills...ideally would like to attempt to climb to the top of a mountain!

Some climbs on Climbbybike site but you would need to make your own routes.
Alternatively look on Strava for segments they often highlight good climbs.

Alternatively, you could try some of the classic Ardennes climbs near Spa itself. It's great cycling terrain round there, I spent a few days riding round there a couple of years ago.

Seeing as Spa is quite often on the route of La Doyenne, aka Liege-Bastogne-Liege, I'd say there are quite a few decent climbs in the vicinity.

Having fked up and ended up on the wrong side of Spa in a ropey old 18t truck I can confirm that there are some impressive climbing roads south of Spa around Stavelot etc.!

(Bless her my old beast - a rather tired mid-90s 180es Iveco with about as many of the 180 horses she should have as I had - slooowly wound her way up in 2nd and 3rd, maybe hitting 15-20mph at some points... much to the annoyance of locals.) lols

There actually aren't really. Many are horrid and steep, but none climb that high, the long draggy one in LBL might well put you as high as you can go around there. Once you climb out of Spa for example, which is a long 3 mile 6% drag you're up pretty high in Belgian terms. Highest point in the country is close to spa, and its only about 2000ft above sea level. Once out of Spa its 16-1700 already.
