PF30 - Back to LBS, or just give up and move on?
Discussion
Evening all,
I have a 2015 Stumpjumper which has a loathsome PF30 BB.
The last time the dreaded creaking started, I got a Wheels Manufacturing BB fitted by my LBS. That, in turn, has now also started creaking after only around 400 mile of riding.
I'm now thinking it's time to just give up on BB30 altogether and go for a Hope or Praxxis alternative which seems to be a much, much better bet, but was wondering if I should be taking it back to the LBS first to question why the WM BB is creaking so quickly?
Does anyone else on here have a WM BB30? If so, how have you found it? Whatever happens, I suspect I'll fit an alternative next time round, but if others say they're running the WM unit without problems, I'd like to know what's gone wrong with mine.

I have a wheels manufacturing PF BB albeit BBRight for a road bike.
I deliberately bought the one that the shells screw together for the reasons you are experiencing. Been faultless for the last 1,500 miles, no idea if they do an alternative for MTB but worth a look - was £75 though but I wanted to get rid of the creak!

BB30.
You've answered your own question and you know what to do...I've ordered the Hope screw together alternative, which isn't cheap at £76 + £40 for the fitting tool, but in the long run, I suspect it will pay for itself several times over.
I fitted this and never looked back nor got any creaks. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/fsa-bb30-thread...
