Anyone own a JLL spin bike or Pro form TDF 1.0 exercise bike

I'm not a massive cyclist but looking to get an exercise bike / spinning bike before winter arrives to complement my running training really. I could get a turbo trainer for my hybrid I guess but would prefer a static bike. I want something that feels more like an actual bike as I'm not a fan of generic exercise bikes as the resistance feels very artificial to me. I've never actually been on a spinning bike but they sound more like what I'm after. Some of the JLL bikes get decent reviews for £150 to £250 but then I had a look at the TDF 1.0 and that looks pretty cool with simulated gears and actual routes, if a little overkill for what I'm after because as I said at the beginning I'm not much of a cyclist!

I'd just get a "smart" turbo trainer for your hybrid you can connect to a tablet and use Zwift or similar.

I've been on various spinning bikes and none of them feel like a proper bike IMO.

For the price of one of those Proform TDF things you could buy a cheapish road bike and a Tacx Flow or Vortex Smart plus years of Zwift.

Interesting - thanks for the replies. I'd heard of Zwift (seen it mentioned on Strava) but had no idea what it was!

Have a go on one before you decide

There is one called Wattbike, it isn't cheap, but it is good

However, in these days of modern technology, a bike (I use a 1986 vintage road bike), a smart trainer and a subscription to zwift / trainer road / sufferfest is well worth a look and, I venture, better

Thanks JPJPJP - I spotted that by chance when looking for refurbished Wattbikes. Have to say it's probably my preferred option.
