Strava not working - anyone having issues on Android?

Hi All my Strava has been going haywire for two weeks.

I'm using it on a Galaxy S6 and had no problems all the way up to June 27th. The next time I used it was July 3rd and it's been shagged ever since.

I updated the OS around about that point and that may be the root cause.

I've since deleted in a re-installed it several times and have been keeping Android up to date. I've also changed from Three (crappy data) to EE (much better).

Fired it up again today and no joy. It just goes haywire. It records just a few minutes, shows me a straight line and tells me I've been going 600mph or whatever.

Very odd.

Maybe it's the version of Android? Or the handest? Everything else on my phone works as normal.

Any ideas?

Ah. Just Googled it. It could be the new Powersave mode shutting down GPS when "not in use". Will try turning it off and see if that fixes it.

This happened to me with my old Samsung a few years ago, turning off power saving sorted it.b

Same here i had this on my GS6. The 'power save' mode stops apps running in the background...including Strava.

Yeah that was what it was, thanks.

I'd never even thought of power saving until the latest version of Android started prompting me.
