I'm after a new saddle to try that supports varying positions . I've been focusing on my seated climbing on long climbs and mountains and improving (usually I climb standing up) . I find I hang over the back of the saddle when seated on climbs. Whilst on the flat I tend to perch towards the front on my saddle . I do move about quite a bit towards front and back working different muscles throughout rides

Anyway my current saddle is ok but doesn't suit my riding style too much , anyone got any recommendations?

Was thinking of trying a planetx super light saddle

My standard response re saddles

Try as many as you can, maybe from a list narrowed down after reading the cervelo article & other research

Include the sellesmp range on your list. The beak at the front helps some people find a good climbing position

I bought and sold saddles on eBay until I found the right one.

Fizik all day long for me....

Mine looks like is shouldn't be comfortable, but it really is.

I bought my wife a ladies Fizik and she swears by it.......whereas with previous saddles she swore at them!!

Cycling Plus magazine recently did a review of the various saddle-choice systems. GebioMized Pressure Mapping was the only that achieved good results. The others (Specialized Sit Bone Fitting, Selle Italia ID Match, etc) merely helped narrow down choices.

Also, I guess saddle choice should be done in conjunction with a bike fit.

I loved my fizik antares VS, then i bought a less racy bike and it was literally a pain in the ass (so much so that i couldn't sit down after 120k)
different perches suit different styles of bike, my brooks c15 works great on my shorter reach higher stack all dy bike.
