New saddle and seatpost

I am planning to upgrade my saddle and seatpost; the saddle is starting to look a little tatty (after 10,000 miles of use).

My current saddle and seatpost came with the bike so an upgrade is in order...

I am considering this Fizik Antares R1 Saddle:

Is there anything else I should consider?

Saddle preference is very personal. If you can find a shop that has loaner saddles that's a good way to try before buying.

Personally I think carbon rails are a total waste of money though.

Ive got a carbon post on one bike (ironically a alu frame) seems ok, not sure what difference it makes as came with bike

I do like that 2 bolt fixing mechanism of the post, allows for more precise fore/aft, although my Deda one took me a while to get the hang of!
