Hello,

I have a charity ride coming up near the end of the month and was considering a daft/novelty jersey for the day, however I'm struggling to find anything that's actually funny.

So I'm throwing it open to you to try and help me.

All ideas welcome!

There are some scary and cheap options on AliExpress and eBay.

What sort of thing are you thinking of?

I commute in unusual jerseys to be more visible, choosing from Heinz Beans, a waiter style, one with a massive giraffe on it, and Iron Man. I also have a Scottish flag, and a couple of PH ones that make an appearance.

Foska do some nice brand ones like Marmite, Irn Bru, etc...

I think something that is meant to look like something else, so a tux or suit look one could be quite good.

Or completely off the wall, so more akin to a Blackpool novelty apron would also be good.

I hadn't thought of Ali Express though, thank but you.

Scimitar do some that may be of use - https://www.scimitarshop.co.uk/collections/mens-cy...

Some are available from Halfords so might work out cheaper if you can apply BC 10% discount.

A Sumo suit? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16uXXlg0qB4

'Team Sumo' raced this year's Battle On The Beach in their Sumo suits, on fat bikes. After assisting another rider with a mechanical issue on lap 1, it took me right to the end to catch all three of them - the last one I passed on the final turn onto the finishing straight.

Or something similar to the old Mario Cipollini Cannondale/Saeco team kit?

yikes

That's a cool looking kit, any ideas where I could find a cheap one?

My Google skills are failing me.

Sorry! I'm far better at "ideas" than I am at actual practical solutions...

AliExpress search for Muscle Cycling Jersey gave me this:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32707173828/327071...

However, clearly the answer to all the questions is:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-3D-R...

You might be able to find it cheaper on AliExpress than my link, there are often multiple sellers of the same thing. Often cheaper on the phone app too.

Worth a look on eBay as well, might be a better price...

Just had a quick look, cheapest proper cycling jersey is about £8 (shirt/tie/waistcoat combo)

I have something very similar to this for commuting, top only:

And this, which my kids chose for me:

It's important to be seen when commuting. I may take this too far. I don't care.

As said some great/horrible stuff on AliExpress but be aware that if you need it by the end of the month, it will often be tight to get it from China by then.

Also search "retro" in cycling jerseys on Ebay, that brings up some corkers.
