Anybody on here in the Grampian region?

I'm planning a wee tour of Scotland in spring with a mate of mine and am wondering what the best route from Inverness to Stonehaven would be on a road bike.

I know there's a cycle path and/or cycle friendly roads but I'm not sure as to their suitability for a road bike and as I'm sure you'll appreciate I'm not so keen to ride on the A9.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Doesn't quite cover what I'm needing though.

Think I've got a reasonable route. It means going up and over the Lecht but what's a wee hill between friends?
