Ordering a bike off the net. How does it work?

Simple question I know but I have never done it and I am thinking of ordering one from Wiggle in the next week or so.

Being a rather large parcel the can't 'leave it somewhere safe' so if I wasn't in when it is delivered, does it go back with them and they try again or is it something that gets dropped at the local post office.

Or

Is there something that you HAVE to be in to receive it?

Like any delivery really (they will just use a curior).

Normally it's deliver to address, if not in leave a card and try again next day, and day after if not in. Then goes back to curior warehouse for a few days (give you time to pickup) the it goes back to sender as undelivered.

Make sure you get the right size ask your local bike shop to match the price so you can get a better fit unless you know exactly what you are doing.

I'm sure it will explain it on the Wiggle site. It might be worth trying to sit on one in a shop if you can, not all manufacturers sizes are the same, and that is likely to be the biggest issue, how to return it if it isn't right.

Use a LBS then buy from Wiggle?

Give your LBS a chance to match Wiggle. Normally they will and you'll have a place to take it if you have a problem later.
