Pretty sure Basso still produces in Italy.

The Basso Diamante is meant to be pretty decent (looks lovely too) and meant to be up there in stiffness terms with S-Works Tarmacs and Giant TCR's

A mate has an early-90s Columbus cyclocross Basso, it's a lovely thing. Probaly the only bike anyone would ever need. I covet it hugely.

Some of the colour schemes seem a bit 80s shellsuit but the plainer ones look ok.

BTW they HAVE to have a slammed stem on the Diamante to look nice though otherwise they just don't look right. They do have tiny head tubes though for their top tube length though so take that into consideration.

Given you don't know what better fitting is until the 18th, you may find that some simple changes will make the Bianchi perfectly fine. What do you mean by more focussed, I think you could (body permitting) likely make the Bianchi far more aggressive, if that was what you meant...

Suppose it depends what your goals are, but I think you may find more productive places to spend another few grand than your 2nd bike.

If you buy a bike with the correct size head tube for your desired fit then why not put the stem where its in the stiffest and most importantly best looking place?

Looks like 30char max, but it can be over tri-colour (green/white with a red bold).
