Which -£400 MTB - Carrera Vengeance or Voodo Bantu?

50/50 Off/on road.
Interested in thoughts on these 2 models. I can get a Vengeance for £280. The Bantu is about £400. Apparently the Bantu is about a kilo lighter & has slightly better brakes, but the cheaper Vengeance gets great reviews.
Which should I go for?

The Bantu is famously the better bike.
If you can, get the Bizango. It has won a best bike award in the past.
