Following a 20 mile off-road ride yesterday on my (new to me) winter bike, I have bruising in a part of my anatomy that is 'very' close to being the most favourite part of my body.

I am thinking that a new saddle is in order - my Mondraker has a Fizik that hasn't caused me any issues, but I have seen on Bike Radar about the new ergonomic saddles (like ISM). Does anyone have any experience of them, and does anyone know of shops that offer a 'try before you buy' on such items?

Cheers!

is it in the correct position?

if the fizik on your other bike suits you, get another

there is no single saddle brand that works best for everyone

for me it is selle smp all the way

As said everyone is different, ive tried loads of saddles and cheap Selle Italia ones for £20 suit me best

ISM one are good, but I set mine up wrong and it really caused me lots of discomfort!! Even more so offroad, as the lack of "nose" poked my balls!

Ive had a bit of ache recently and it was due to me tilting my saddle ever so slightly up at the front, since putting it back flat pain has gone

I also prefer wide saddles, these are loads more comfy , had a narrow brooks and it was really painful!!
