I use runkeeper to import gpx files and then follow a route/track my ride/run.

I've now got about 80 routes from various sources and want someway of dumpping them ALL onto a map so I can see which ones overlap, etc.

Runkeeper only lets me see one map a time.

I could just buy some paper OS maps and draw them on! But is there a pc solution?

I use memory-map with OS 1:50k and 1:25k

Not online but the installed PC software for planning/importing/exporting and the Android version for following. It's old school mid naughties stuff (on the PC at least) and all the better for it.

would it let me do as I describe? To import multiple routes and see them all on the map?

Here I have uploaded my gpx from when I rode the SDW (light blue) and the course of this weekends L2B (Green) on to a 1:50k.

Import as many gpx files as you like. Edit them. Create them. Export them. Whatever.

You can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel. And change the colours and thickness of the route lines. And change the base map to any that you have bought. The 1:50ks are cheaper the the 1:25ks and are all you need really.

I like and use it a lot.

Only caveat is I think you'd have to import them one by one, rather than highlight a list of all 80 and hit go. But, once imported, it would display all on the screen concurrently.

Edit - confirmed only able to select a single file in the import dialogue box. So you'd have to sit down for a couple of hours to import your 80 files one after the other. But that gets you out of having to watch Downton with the missus, so it's all good, right?

Just thought. Memory-map is great for seeing the detail (and importing other people's gpx files, creating, editing, exporting etc) but if all you want is a quick overview of where you've been on your own outings you can get that from Veloviewer. It'll pull all your activities from Strava and overlay them on a Open Street Data map:

Again you can zoom in and out.

i dont think that will work for me.

I have lots of GPX files I have bought online for local MTB routes.....I thne have runkeeper that has my own routes.

I drop the GPX files into runkeeper to follow myself.

Prob is sometimes the new GPX route overlaps a route I've done and I dont spot it till out on the trail....the chilterns is a maze of bridleways!

So I need a big map I can drop all my routes in and see what overlaps what.....and also, which of my routes I can join together for "super routes" !

now got mem map up and all looking good - but, some of the GPX files I have imported have defaulted to using a flag as the waypoint marker.....dont suppose there's any way to bulk alter that! As my maps now look VERY busy with flags everywhere.

Also right click on the gpx line and Operations > Convert to Track

Which I recommend doing anyway if they currently 'Routes'. 'Tracks' are simpler and nicer to work with than 'Routes' in memmory-map. Both can be exported as gpx so you don't lose anything.

You can also spilt, delete, draw and join tracks.

Then export them and upload them to your Garmin. And/Or get the Android/IoS Memory-map and follow that on route with a marker as to where you are on them.
