Another what mtb....

My first foray into full suspension & I've narrowed it down to these 2 (I think):

The cube being £450 more but I'd likely stick a dropper post onto the canyon straight away.

Riding is a mainly xc but starting to do some downhill stuff (Forest of Dean, Cwmcarn) & doing the Brecon beast next year. Would the cube be more future proof in that respect? The 2x10 & 140mm certainly appeal - is 110mm of travel in the canyon enough? Maybe better waiting for the 2016 canyons?

I'm not in any particular rush this side of Xmas.

Any alternatives in 29ers? I'm a large sizing so a lot of the sale stuff is no good I find.

Have a look at the Cannondale Triggers at Pauls. Got a 29er sitting here (just done tubeless for a mate), it is awesome for the money. 130mm RS Revs & SLX was about a grand.

80mm for XC, flick a switch and the front pops out to 69.5deg HA and 130mm for descents thanks to the Fox pull shock. Sounds gimmicky but works.

Nothing needs upgrading either, even the tyres are alright, just add a Reverb...

I've got the 2012 Nerve (it's slightly different from the 2015 models with 26 wheels, 120mm travel) and it's great.

Trail centres are no problem, the only time I've thought I could do with more travel was Coed-Y-Brenin.
