We're off up there for a week and taking gnar shredding bikes. Anyone been before and have any valuable input of what to do or where to do it?

I regularly ride there, Minton Batch is well worth a look, some details to be found here:

Lots of trails to be found around the Long Mynd generally aside from the route detailed above:

Likewise, Eastridge and Hopton woods also worth a trip if you have time.

Thanks man. Since posting I have downloaded an OS Map of the area and printed out all of the Forestry trail maps locally. We're staying just outside Cardington so looks like some decent bridleways to be able to cycle over to the Long Mynd from there.

My PIL live there, lovely place and hilly.

There is a small MTB shop in town who ride all the local trails who I expect can advise when you are there. A drive up the Burway, past the glider club and down the other side is great as it shows two great hills for road bikes.

Lots of MTB'ers park up at the top by a small copse and ride from there, the route are pretty obvious and if you zoom in on Strava segments/overlaid with satellite photos you can see all the off road routes.
