Any Wiggle discount codes out there?

As above, I need to order a few hundred quid of bits and as they've just increased the price of most of them overnight I'm hoping there might be a code out there somewhere to recoup the losses from my indecisiveness in choosing which wheels to buy...

They usually have all of their codes listed on the site in one of the customer service sub menus. I don't they do too many to be honest. Probably best ordering from another site, or I've found Evans price matching can be quite good at matching best prices elsewhere.

Bit of searching and get Wiggle to Price-match.

Wiggle Price-match more competitor sites than Evans.....Evans wont match Rose or BikeDiscount.de for example

I've searched a bit and decided to leave the drivetrain bits for now - I was concerned about being able to push a 36-28 but will give it a try and see how I go.

Just trying to find the cheapest place for Shimano 6800 wheels now to get them to match...

So what exactly has happened to Wiggle? I used to be a massive advocate of theirs but everything seems to have gone downhill recently.

A colleague ordered a bike, only the wheels arrived. Eventually they found the rest of it, sent it out but when he complained that customs had charged him double-tax as the paperwork had the full price on both times they didn't want to know.

This time they've split my order into 3 boxes (which is fine) but sent two as one consignment at 1.30am and the other has just gone out as a separate consignment 11 hours later which means I'm going to have to pay two lots of customs handling fees.

They have also been telling me they will price match, but it transpires that because I had the order shipped to Switzerland they won't...

Not impressed, maybe next time I'll switch to CRC, if I can get to grips with their website.

When Wiggle price match they only allow it on one item. For example I wanted a price match on some Continental Competition Tubular tyres, I wanted a pair but had to get 2 separate price matches from them. Then I ordered them minutes apart and they arrived in 2 separate boxes.

Could shipping work out cheaper for you from the likes of http://www.rosebikes.com/ or http://www.bike-discount.de/

The shipping itself is free, it's just local VAT and handling fees which cost money so it would be the same from the German sites. Basically, DHL charge about £15 on top of the tax due as a handling fee for each consignment, so sending as two consignments means I pay this fee twice which is annoying.

At least they normally get the value right though - I ordered two jerseys (separately) from Chapeau in the sale at £20 each which is below the minimum tax threshold. They dispatched them with the customs declaration saying £50 per package (full price inc VAT) so I got a bill of £15 from the post office with each one! Kudos to Chapeau though, they sorted it out quickly and gave me a credit note to cover the cost of the tax.

True, but in central london you're never more than about a mile from an Evans store, so picking stuff up is easy, whereas getting it delivered to home is often a pain.

Presumably you get to buy them without the UK VAT though, so you save 20% on our prices before you add your 8% Swiss MwSt and your DHL fee? So you're still ahead, provided the purchase amount isn't so low that the £15 fee equates to 12% or more of it.

Not that I'm jealous... Much!

Absolutely, still ahead, but this was a big order (£400+) pooled with two other guys in the office to share the fee, otherwise on a £150 order the fee adds 10% to the cost. Because they've sent it in two consignments I have to pay the fee twice which rather negates the benefit. It's also annoying as the second parcel is all kit for one of the other guys so if he hadn't bought it I wouldn't have this issue...

I see the problem. Like when we buy stuff from the States and Royal Mail sticks an £8 charge on for collecting £3 in VAT. Except your fee is twice as much.

You need a postal address in Lichtenstein, then pop over the border to collect everything once it's all there.
