What to do with an old steel MTB frame? Specalized 17"

Since building the On One, the Specialized frame is now surplus to requirements. Its in perfect order, with a decent headset, but running V brakes. Its too small for me, hence the On One.
I had the fame shot blasted, inspected and powder coated last year, so here is minor rust as you'd expect but the frames healthy. Its too good just to scrap.

Whilst it might be in good condition, I suspect that sadly scrapping it would probably give you the best return.
I'm building up a bike for my son's birthday, based on an On-one Inbred frame in lovely condition. Granted, it's a very small frame, so maybe not quite as much competition for it as for a 17" frame, but to counter that, it has disc mounts. That frame only cost me £70, and to be honest I don't think I would've gone down the V brake route even if someone had given me a frame for free.

Depends on exactly what it is whether or not it's worth anything. But have a look on retrobike.co.uk - with some more details someone on there might well be interested. I might well be interested EXCEPT that I think n+1=s in my case - I'm already under strict instructions to get rid of an old Marin that's currently in pieces in my shed - never got the time to get it as immaculate as I'd hoped to.
Have you had a look around for a local charity? There are two in Bristol who take old bikes, find someone who needs a bike, then get the recipient to help fix it up before they get to take it away. I'm a big soft liberalist and love how it gets people mobile meaning they can work, get fit, go out to see friends etc and gives the bike another lease of life.
