Also try someone like http://www.noble-wheels.com/ speak to Jon, they are just about to start bringing in these rims from Oz, depending on your existing hubs he may be able to build a wheel with these rims. http://www.curvecycling.com.au/collections/road/pr... those rims apparently will be £380-400, with a built up set being £1380 (new hubs and spokes).
They were starting to wear out the day you first used them, how worn are they?
How much depth is left on the wear indicators and how concave is the braking surface?
You may have more life in them than you think, but if not be prepared to be bent over dry for replacement rims from Zipp!
They may not even have stock of the 303 alu surface clincher as they have been using the all carbon version for a while now.

There's no point rebuilding them with anything other than Zipp rims, because the Zipp hubs really aren't all that good. 303 rims come up from time to time on eBay (there's one on there for £325 at the moment). The actual wheelbuild isn't difficult, although it's a little fiddlier than normal because they use spoke washers. Otherwise I think Wheelsmith can get rims on their own, so you could ask them for a quote. Note that replacements will be full carbon, as they no longer make the 303 with an alloy brake track. If you really want alloy braking, try SRAM S40's, or any of the Cosmic Carbone Exalith or SLE series, or FFWD F4R-C's.

I appreciate they are not the best wheels now but they still cost me £1500 in 2008 and spending £500 on these is better than £500 on an inferior set of wheels.

The front is pretty worn. The surface is concave now and will only last till the end of the summer at a guess. The rear has reasonable life left in it.How much depth is left on the wear indicators and how concave is the braking surface?

Just had these built by Jonny and I'm very pleased with them

You won't get it done for £500. The rims alone are more than that *each* at list. Unless you find some on sale somewhere, you won't get this done under a grand. For £500, the best thing would be a set of handbuilts, or Mavic Cosmic SLE if you must have factory deep sections. Original query - replace alu rim that's bonded to the carbon fairing.
Most responses - replace entire hoop.
Direction of thread - the wrong direction.
IMHO I don't think you can de-bond the alu from the fairing and just replace, you'd be looking at replacing the entire hoop and rebuild using existing spokes/hubs.
Loving the 'don't go mainstream' though. Never fails!

Anyway, you could speak to Sigma S10, I know they have a huge warehouse full of random stuff, might be worth asking if they have any knocking about?
